Subject: Case Head Separations

There were a few posts recently about F/L vs Neck sizing and case head separations.
I’ve attempted to show the progression of a case head separation in the pic below. These cases have all been neck sized many times, perhaps more than 30. The ones on the right were reloaded a few too many times...

The case head has separated from the body on the second case from the right. The cut away case on the right shows where the thinning in the case web occurs.
The clarity of the photo is not as good here on the post as it is on my iPad, but the second case from the left has the telltale faint bright line that is the first outward indication of the web thinning, with the web progressively getting thinner from left to right. The third case actually has a very pronounced bright line, but just didn’t show up in the pic.
Those that reload will likely have seen this. I start seeing the faint line after about 15 to 20 reloads.
