I load the 174 SMK to 3.05 inch OAL. I would be cautions going much deeper and not reduce powder charge accordingly; the load tables published are based on 3.07 in OAL.

HT, with your current load of 36.0 gr H4895, you should be fine with the seating depth your suggesting, but I would not load to the max of the load tables at this OAL (Hodgdon table gives 38.0 gr. as max for H4895, 174 gr bullet, 3.075 OAL).
