Went to the range.  Set up the chronograph, taped up my targets, loaded up the magazine with .312" 174gr HPBT GRAF bullets that where charged with exactly 38.0grns of IMR 3031 and primed with CCI #250 primers and got to work. I purposely have not cleaned the barrel yet and it had 80 rounds fired through it prior to this shoot. Without attempting any serious shots,I was initially just resetting the scope and checking the FPS of each shot. Every shot was either 2428 or 2430 fps with nothing faster and nothing slower. When I decided it was time to score myself, the barrel was well warmed. The best ten shot group from the 174grn BTHP was well under 1.00" vertically and laterally.  I decided it was time to test the Lapua D166 bullets that were charged with exactly 35.0grns of IMR 3031 and primed with CCI #250 primers.  The best ten shot group I had was V shaped but still within an acceptable grouping. The flyers in the shots were not counted.
I think I am just going to keep using the Hornady bullets. It does not seem to matter what powder I use. The groupings stayed pretty consistent. This was done at 100 yards as well...Hug...
