Sapper, coincidently enough I just deprimed, resized and cleaned just shy of 200 .44 Special cases this afternoon. This and .32 H&R mag are my favorite revolver cartridges.

I wanted to be in a position to shoot my .303s with as little fuss as possible, and casting allows me to do this. Being north of 70 now, and like everyone else, I am saddled with all the usual aches and pains. The goal was to develop loads that can consistently hit the center black from the back porch to the backstop, about 55 yds away....w/o feeling it the next day.
I wanted something to put a stop to the thieving squirrels during mango fruit harvest time. The 31-134D/8 grs of Unique looks to be just the ticket. As said before, gaschecks aren't needed at this velocity.
Running the brass bore brush thru with Ed's Red two or three times followed by perhaps 10 patches, and clean up is no big deal.
