What (if any) difference does the style of bullet make to charge weights?

I have some Bertram Bullet 174gr flat base soft point bullets and looking to do some testing with these.  However, I have only reloaded using components for which there is available load data and preferably from the powder manufacturer.

The data below is from the ADI web site (http://www.adiworldclass.com.au/data-rifle/303-british) and filtered to show only the 174gr loads with AR2208 (Varget) powder.  The only 174gr bullet listed by ADI is for a Sierra hollow point, boat tail.

I have read that when substituting different weights, where no data exists that the powder weight decreases proportionally to the weight increase but I haven't seen anything that discusses whether bullet bearing surface impacts upon the charge weight.
