This rifle has needed some work! When I bought it the barrel had some wear at the muzzle, it refused a .305 gauge at about 1cm in but was .309 at the end. That I was not happy about as the rifle was advertised as refusing a .305 gauge. To me that should have been the end of the muzzle.![]()

It was awful at 50 metres, target was holes everywhere! around 12MOA!
I took it back and paid to get a new barrel (old stock original) fitted.
That improved it quite a lot but probably was down to 5 MOA. The wood on this rifle was replaced before I bought it with late manufacture original; On inspection I found that it was not properly fitted, uneven contact on the draws to recoil lugs, causing the barrel to lay down the left hand side of the fore end barrel channel. This obviously was affecting the accuracy. I have now got even pressure on the draws, barrel is centered in the channel and some wood has been removed to avoid unwanted interference of the barrel.
Also fitted a new spring to the barrel damper in the nose cap and adjusted the nose cap fit which was pulling on the barrel due to poor wood shape.
There was an immediate improvement, I have being doing all initial testing with Prvi Partisan ammo to keep things simple. It will shoot very well with this ammo, and my initial reloads were not as good; too fast.
I'm now at the point where the reload with Sierra 174gr match kings are as good as our slightly better than the PRVI. I haven't quite finished testing yet but it's coming together nicely.
Our competitions are prone at 200 metres, no rest but standard sling is ok.
The photo is of before and after sorting the wood adjustment, both targets are with PRVI ammo. I do not have a photo of the reload targets yet, but the best one (37,7gr tubal300) was slight improvement on the best PRVI one.![]()

I will speak to the gunshop onsaturday to ask if it is possible to export orgives. i'll let you know.
Sierra's are not cheap though; about 45 Euros for 100! Sellier Bellot are cheaper at 30 Euro for 100 hence the reason I want to test them.
