ohh how things have changed. this seems forever ago, i changed around what i was doing so much since this, i went to more pointed bullets, also bore rider style so i dont have to seat so deep,

ive gone up to 305gr 47mm long cast and loaded an OAL of 3.307" (84mm) they tumble through the air, you can hear them lol. i was using 5gr w231 but had issues with being able to load them into the chamber

i went down to a 88gr bullet, it had an OAL of 2.5" and i used 7gr w231, that is a fun load

i currently am using a 200gr cast bullet and a OAL of 2.95" (75mm) using 6gr os w231

i use empty cases and just powder in them, no issues at all, i have tried toilet paper but it made no difference at all and added to my steps.

also solid fillers in a necked case seems a little effy to me, i would use toilet paper or a like pillow stuffing kinda thing,, but when the cow hits the shoulder it has to fit through, i read it can cause ringing in the chamber at the shoulder point, in a straight wall case i would be all for it, or fire forming i would use it

i also dont use any groves in the bullets any more and no lube. i i just dip the bullet section of every 5 or 6 loads in a cup of molylube right before chambering it.

i have ordered 500 .313" cast, sized, lubed 96gr bullets from the 32 handgun and also 3 pounds of titegroup ill switch to that powder when the w231 runs out.

here is a pic that shows the style bullet im using now, this is an older pic and im not making them this long

below it are a few more of different loads, ill get a new pic of my mold collection in a minute

so this is the pile of molds i have now, im missing a few, i have 2 more 357 molds (one in pic) and i have another for my 43 mauser with a flat nose, as well as another 11 cavity 240gr mold and a few other tester molds for designs that didnt work or were bored big, ill get a sizing die for my press with i now have and ill me able to use more of my molds.

but in the pic you can see two loaded rounds, they are 200 gr and cast from the mold above it. i fire these at 910fps, ive fired probably 200 so far, im not sure on how well they work, but at 100m when i point it at a 8x11 steel plate she goes PING so its good enough for me lol..
