Reloading .303 British : no1 mk3 chambers

A problems usually arise with the No.4 Mk I when there is too much head-space, they tend to over expand the lower end of the cartridge shoulders, to the point where the case can fracture, or won't chamber well in your No.1 Mk III. The chambers on the Mk III tend to be quite generous, they were designed for the thinner wall British made brass. How do the bores compare? I've found the bores on the Mk III's can have quite a bit of variance, where as the Mk I's are a more consistent .311"dia.
