MJ, those PRVI look similar to the Sellier Bellot 180 grain boat tails. Filled with lead from the base; which the main visual difference that I see between them and the SMK's.

MJ, those PRVI look similar to the Sellier Bellot 180 grain boat tails. Filled with lead from the base; which the main visual difference that I see between them and the SMK's.
I found that the weight of the SB rounds vary quite a lot. Out of the first 100 that I checked; only 9 were bang on 180 grains. I ended going through the whole 500 and batching them up in bags of equivalent weights with a tolerance of +/-0,1 grain.
They perform OK when batched; but still not quite an SMK.
I was wondering if the open end base would allow the bullets to bump up better in the bore; when compared to the SMK which is full copper? what do you think?
