Here's how I work up a load with a new bullet or powder. Ther's no one size fits all recipe even for "identical rifles".
Pick you bullet, pick your powder, pick your primer, pick your case.
Look up the tables from a couple of reloading manuals for that combination.
If you have multiple recipes, select the highest low, the Lowest HIGH & find the load exactly 1/2way between.
do a first batch of just 5 rounds at the lowest high loading, the median, & the highest low.
Fire all 3 for a group.
Pick the best group.
if its between Lowest & median, split the difference a make that your new "median".
If it between the Median & the HIGH, split that difference for a new median.
now make 3 more sets of 5.
NEW median
1/2 way between New Median & new low & 1/2 way between new median & new Median & new high.
repeat till you get a really nice group.
FWIW its usually about 2/3rd of the way between new median & new high.
